Im a new to megasquirt.
I bought a complete mega. It has megasquirt extra in it.
Im planning to run it on my omega 2.4 engine.
Now i have few questions:
I downloaded easytherm, tryed to change the coolant temp(original opel sensor) and air temp (ford sierra cossu)
Easytherm says i dont have megasquirt_mod.s19??
Right now it shows constant 38c in megatune but dosent change when i head the sensor, like it wasnt connected, Does it have to have same resistor?
I think it would be more easier to use just fuel for begining, how i can turn of extra and use just mega I??
Does any one have readings for opel coolant temp sensor?
Another problem is TPS it lower says 78 and max says 227 ,i tryed to calibrate that but it still shows those figures, it should show reading from 0-255??
All the wires are alright.
You can write in finnish.

When using easytherm, I find it easiest to just use it to generate the three .new inc files (airdenfactor, aitfactor, thermfactor). Then once you have these files, one can always recompile the code using these files. Then upload the compiled .s19 file using the download.exe program. All the needed tools will come together with the code when you download it from the extra homepage.
About the sensors, it's easiest to just measure them yourself in three different temperatures like icewater (0C), boiling water (100 C ) and verified room temperature.
The tps value is shown in two different values. The raw value is from 0-255 corresponding to 0-5V and then in %-units. When you calibrate the tps, it will read from 0-100%, the raw readings will not change.
If you want to use fuel only, you can still use the sxtra code. Just don't wire the ignition related components.
